The collaborative spirit in which the Association was established
has enabled the organization to flourish for more than 25 seasons.
The fact that its very first concert series was a sell out
indicated the need for performing arts programming in the community.
But many changes have occurred in both the community and the
Association since 1974.
Naperville has grown from a quiet small town of 25,000 to
a virbrant suburban community of more than 130,000. With this
growth also has come changes both in the diversity and complexity
of the community and increased competition for performing arts
entertainment both in the suburbs and the city of Chicago.
Many current venues, including the Paramount Arts Center,
Allstate Arena (the former Rosemont Horizon), Rosemont Theater,
Arts Center at College of DuPage, and Rialto Arts Center did
not even exist in 1974. But even in the face of keener competition,
the Naperville - North Central College Performing Arts Association
has contnued to operate successfully.
Concert Sponsorships
Coupled with the need to communicate with a larger, more diverse
communty in a highly competitve market arena, the Association
also has been challenged by higher operating costs. These have
grown from about $15,000 in 1974 to more than $179,000 in 1999-2000.
Rising artist fees, production costs and promotion expenses are
the primary contirbutors to this increase.
The Association cannot increase ticket prices sufficiently
to meet operating costs and remain competitive in the market.
For this reason, the Board of Directors is seeking the support
of major contributors in the community to join us in sustaining
the presentatin of quality performing arts entertainment in Naperville.
We invite you to become a Concert Sponsor with a fully tax-deductible
corporate contribution in the amount of $5,000. In return for
that contribution, you will be designated a Concert Sponsor,
with the following benefits:

and other material related to the selected concert.
